A super PAC run by former top advisors to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will spent nearly $6 million on advertising in Democratic-held House seats, an effort to keep Republicans on offense as Democrats struggle to retake the House.

YG Action, the super PAC run by former Cantor aides John Murray and Brad Dayspring, has purchased $5.5 million in advertising in 12 House districts over the two-month final sprint, the group will announce today. That money will go toward electing Young Guns, members of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s rising star list first spearheaded by Cantor and Reps. Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan.

PA-12: $268,265 for businessman Keith Rothfus, running on broadcast and cable in Johnstown and Altoona between September 21 and October 18. Rothfus is running against Rep. Mark Critz (D).

NC-07: $541,433 for state Sen. David Rouzer, running on broadcast in the Raleigh-Durham market between September 7 and October 4. Rouzer is running against Rep. Mike McIntyre (D).
