YG Action Fund Celebrates Paul Ryan
Selection as Romney VP
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The YG Action Fund, a Super PAC dedicated to supporting candidates who hold true to the Young Guns Movement, today congratulates Paul Ryan on being selected as Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential running mate in 2012.
In 2007, the Weekly Standard’s Fred Barnes coined Eric Cantor (the leader), Kevin McCarthy (the strategist), and Paul Ryan (the thinker) as the “Young Guns of the House GOP.” In 2010, the three wrote a book entitled, “Young Guns – A New Generation of Conservative Leaders,” laying out a positive vision for young Americans. Today they serve in some of the most important roles in determining the type of country America will be for the next generation.
Brad Dayspring, Senior Advisor to the YG Action Fund, released the following statement on behalf of the organization:
“The race has changed. Optimism, economic growth and a strong vision for the next generation of Americans now dominates the race because of Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan. Today the race becomes the serious debate about issues that America deserves.”
“Paul Ryan stands at the front of a long line of next generation conservative leaders, offering thoughtful, positive and serious solutions to our country’s greatest challenges. That is what Young Guns is all about. The Reagan torch has now been passed to Paul Ryan today. The YG Action Fund celebrates Paul’s selection as Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential running mate, and congratulate him, his wife Janna, and their three children Elizabeth, Charles, and Sam. Way to go Mitt, amazing pick.”
